CONTENT AND SPECIFICATION OF REBUILT MACHINE
The geometry of the major castings and all alignments are checked using guages and standards equipment used in the manufacture of the Bridgeport Turret Mill.

Regrind ways and vee`s on the column, knee and saddle.

Regrind table vee`s, repair table top and regrind.
|
|
§
|
Hard chrome the knee top.
|
|
§
|
Fit new lead screws and nuts.
|
|
§
|
Fit new elevation screws , gears and bearings.
|
|
§
|
Machine and bond turcite to the gib strips.
|
|
§
|
Replace all lubrication meters and pipework. Fit new electriconic oil pump, interlocked to prevent the machine starting when the oil is low.
|

|
Supply and fit new align power feed to the X axis. Their is an additional cost of £250.00 plus cost of parts used to rebuild the original 6F power feed. The Y feed will be replaced with a align unit for an additional £399.00. The cost of rebuilding the origional Y axis 6F feed will be £250.00 plus parts used.

All external cables and conduits will be replaced.
|

Replace all faulty parts in the electric panel.
|

Fit new spindle bearings and regrind R8/30 int taper.
|
|

|
Replace worn out and reset components in the J head.
|
|
§
|
Fit new bearings , hubs ,pulleys and belts in the head.
|
|
§
|
Fully repaint and finnish in full gloss.
|
|

|
Fit rear column and knee top protection covers.
|
|
§
|
The machine knee to column vertical movement will be square to .0005” in 12” of movement in the longitudinal and transverse plane.
|

§
|
The table top longitudinal movement will be square to within .0005” in 12 inch of movement to the transverse movement.
|
|
§
|
The maximum deflection at each end/ top and bottom of the strips will be .0005”.
